Factsheet: Tropical Forest Conservation and Venture Fund Project

Posted on 21 January 2013  |
WWF has chosen two pilot, community forest areas within Phnom Prich Widllife Sanctuary to participate in the Tropical Forest Conservation and Venture Fund Project (TRAFO). Through this project, WWF assists these communities in protecting their remaining forest by identifying and providing the appropriate financial incentives to conserve the forest through environmental services. This project aims to prevent the degradation and conversion of forest for income by providing alternative livelihood options and assisting in sustainable management of forest resources.
